This year we are launching our Believ pledge cards and are asking Councillors to sign up to help deliver cleaner air for all.
Recently we undertook research into the state of EV infrastructure across the UK and heard from a number of local authorities who were frustrated at the delays taken to receive Government funding. This needs to change if the UK is to meet its net zero commitments. However, it can’t be done by the industry alone. It requires chargepoint operators, local councils, consumers and Government to pull together.
Our pledges include actions you can take to accelerate the rollout of EV chargepoints. If you are interested in signing up to cleaner air for all, then please complete our pledge below.
I support the Believ Pledges and commit that my council will:
Support the uptake of EVs by rolling out charge points in all areas.
Increase scale and pace of installation by using all funding options including private sector investment.
Maintain a safe and inclusive street environment by following best practices and the tightest safety standards.
Ensure fair pricing by agreeing contracts without exclusivity.
