Believ has installed two EV charge points at Leicester’s Carisbrooke Lawn Tennis Club, providing its members and the local community with reliable, convenient and accessible charging infrastructure.
The CPO has installed one fast chargepoint designed for long-stay or overnight resident charging needs and a rapid charge point, suitable for faster top ups, capable of charging to 80% in as little as 20 minutes. The combination is designed to serve differing club member and local resident charging needs. The partnership aligns with the tennis club’s mission to reduce its environmental impact by supporting its members who currently use or are looking to switch to an electric vehicle.
The charge point infrastructure is fully funded by Believ, who will manage ongoing operation and maintenance. The installation aligns with Believ’s mission to create cleaner air for all, ensuring convenience for all drivers, whatever their journeys.
Guy Barlett, CEO at Believ says it’s important for leisure and sports venues to consider the needs of their EV driver members and local community:
“Having EV charging fit easily within your day-to-day activities is a key benefit to driving an EV. It’s important that venues, such as Carisbrooke, recognise how leisure organisations can support the transition to EVs by offering convenient and easy-to-use EV charging facilities.
“This is just what Carisbrooke has done and it has been wonderful working with an organisation that is so passionate about having a positive impact on the environment and the local community.”
Jack Simpson, Head Coach from Carisbrooke Lawn Tennis Club says the charge points answer an important member need: “With a strong demand among our members for charge point infrastructure, we chose to partner with Believ as a CPO that could install all speeds of charge point and ensure a variety of charging needs were met. The partnership has meant that members and the local community can more easily switch to an EV.”
