Believ sponsors the Super League

From stadiums to streets: Believ sponsors Super League in support of local communities

Believ, electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator (CPO), is sponsoring Super League as part of its ongoing commitment to investing in local communities and promoting the transition to cleaner, more sustainable transport.

Rugby League’s strong presence within towns and cities – particularly across the North of England, where it is headquartered in Manchester – makes the sport a natural partner for the CPO which is focused on delivering infrastructure in the heart of communities.

With more than 1.8 million EVs on UK roads, and adoption continuing to grow, the availability of reliable and accessible charging infrastructure within local communities is increasingly important. The sponsorship will see Believ become an official partner of Super League across its competitions, creating a platform to engage with communities and reflecting the regions where it installs, operates, and maintains public charging infrastructure. By partnering  with a sport deeply rooted in local communities, Believ aims to build greater understanding and confidence in EV charging, and ultimately encourage the uptake of EVs.

Believ’s sponsorship will also include the Super League’s Power Rankings – a weekly feature used by media outlets to assess the performance, momentum and results of all 14 participating clubs. Through this collaboration, Believ will have greater opportunities to connect with Rugby League fans. Bobby Bahadori, Commercial Director at Rugby League Commercial, said: “We are thrilled to be able to announce this partnership with Believ. We have real admiration for the work they are undertaking to create cleaner air for all.

“With their high-quality charging infrastructure, Believ are a great fit for Super League and the electric performances we are looking forward to witnessing across stadiums in 2026. Rugby League is committed to environmental sustainability at all levels, and we look forward to working with our clubs and players in helping deliver this.”

Guy Bartlett, CEO at Believ, adds: “We are very excited to be partnering with Rugby League, a sport that plays such an important role in towns and cities across the UK. As EV uptake increases, it’s vital that charging is rolled out in a way that fits naturally into everyday life and supports how people use their vehicles.

“This partnership also allows us to engage with communities across the UK. It demonstrates how reliable, renewable charging infrastructure can help deliver our mission of cleaner air for all and support the wider transition to sustainable transport.”
